It's not always easy eating healthy especially on the go. Here are some quick recipes you can make that will give you a boost for your day.
1. Yogurt & Fruit
Yogurt is a good source of vitamin C, Vitamin B-2, Vitamin B-12, Magnesium, & Potassium. The fruits are an added bonus. This is a good substitute if your really on the go. Be sure to eat a full lunch so you don't go too hungry throughout the day.
2. Green Smoothie
Juicing seems to be the rave these days and for good reason! When you juice or smoothie fruits and vegetables you are getting all the nutrients to make this one of the healthiest things you can drink for breakfast. You will have the energy to take on the day with a green smoothie. You can make a green drink by blending kale, karats, apples, lemon, and lettuce. YUM!
3. Scrambled Eggs With Beans, Tomato, & Sausage (Optional)
Eggs are always a great choice for breakfast. They are easy to cook and pack a lot of protein. Top that with beans and tomatoes and you have a nice healthy tasting meal! You can also throw in vegan or turkey sausage.
4. Quinoa With Eggs
Quinoa is basically the magical grain. This grain was used in ancient times as a major food source. Quinoa is high in minerals, incredibly nutritious, and is loaded with antioxidants. This super food should definitely be thrown in your weekly rotation along with some eggs and veggies.
5. Wholegrain Muffins
Muffins are typically very delicious but be careful of eating white bread muffins. They can contain a lot of calories which isn't healthy especially if you eat them everyday. On the other hand whoegrain muffins taste great and are better for you. Whole grains contain a lot of fiber, help digestion, lower blood pressure, and deliver essential minerals. So this muffin is a win win!
6. Avocado With Whole Wheat Toast
Avocado is amazingly healthy for you. That paired with a slice of whole wheat toast is the ultimate quick breakfast. Did you know that avocado's contain more potassium than bananas? They are also loaded with tons of fiber. Whole wheat toast is also really good for you. Hold the butter!
7. Cheerios Protein
Cheerios is probably the healthiest cereal you can eat on the go. Doesn't require any cooking or preparation. We recommend either soy or non fat milk.
